High End PIC Single Board Computer Kit for 16F87X or 18F4X2 Flash devices Features: - A 44 pin PLCC PIC16F877 Flash microcontroller can be included; it can also be purchased with no processor included - 2-wire I2C Bus signals SDA and SCL are routed to proto area - LM340T 5 Volt DC regulator that accepts an external +7.5VDC to +14VDC power supply - RS232 interfacing circuitry & DB9 connector interfaced to the UART - External 20.0 MHz Oscillator is included to clock processor - Reset button & circuitry - Replaceable Daughter board, with proto area duplicated from Main board proto area, can be removed and replaced for different projects, or different end-use applications - All Port I/O is led to a proto area on both Main & Daughter boards, and clearly labeled - Additional Daughter boards can be purchased separately - All parts are pre-installed Product Information: The Tech Systems pre-assembled MidRange/High End PIC single board microcontroller module is for prototyping or end-product use. These modules incorporate a 44 pin PLCC PIC16F877 as the stock processor. The board can be used with any of the PIC16F87X or 18F4X2 processors. These microcontrollers represent Microchip's most flexible processors to date. The Flash processor can be programmed via the TS-18C658-1B programming adapter (sold separately), which adapts to the Microchip PICSTART PLUS development programmer. A cable that connects from the programming adapter to the MidRange/High End PIC single board microcontroller module comes with the TS-18C658-1B programming adapter. The main board also includes all the necessary components and circuitry needed to power the microcontroller: 5-Volt regulator, 20.0 MHz external oscillator, and reset circuitry. In addition, the main board includes RS232 serial interface circuitry, a DB9 serial connector, and a LED wired to one I/O pin, and a prototyping area. A daughter board fits onto the main board through a 50-pin connector. The standard "blank" daughter board contains a prototyping area so that different projects can be built onto separate daughter boards and still use the same main board. In addition, a dedicated daughter board can be laid out and fabricated for use in test fixtures, end-user products, or advanced prototyping. Full Schematic documentation is included.
